![]() ![]() ADCC 2007 Openweight Champion Robert Drysdale was all set to appear on The Ultimate Fighter Season 10. He is only 1-0 in MMA but is a black belt in jiu-jitsu with multiple world championships on his resume. He was introduced to the Spike TV public on TUF 8 as an assistant coach for Frank Mir and recently went through medical exams for TUF 10. When getting his medical credentials ready for participation on TUF 10, he learned his attendance with TUF may have saved his life. "I was trying to enter the reality show, but I found out I'm with a brain Aneurysm. It could have happened now or when I was born, I don't know. It's small, but the (Athletic) Commission won't let me fight." "I'm going to Brazil to do some exams and I don't know what I'll do, maybe I'll have to go on surgery. I can't fight.. I'll have to do it in Brazil, because this exam costs $6,000 here in the US.. my mother is trying to set this exam up, as soon as she does, I'll go to Brazil." Drysdale would have participated as a heavyweight on the show, as he walks around typically from 210-215lbs. He is a big name that would have benefited the show greatly, a huge loss for TUF 10. We wish him a speedy recovery. Click Here for the TUF 10 Guide. |
